One of the most powerful lessons I have learned in the past year is about story telling.
I am talking about the stories we tell ourselves. As discussed in the great book Crucial Conversations, there is always a “path to action”.
- See and hear – What our senses bring in to our brain
- Tell a story – These are the stories we tell ourselves about the information from our 5 senses
- Feel – Feelings are generated from the stories we tell ourselves
- Act – Our feelings drive our actions
If we can manage the stories that we tell ourselves, we can manage the feeling and actions they generate.
